25th Anniversary of the Big Lie in the OJ Simpson Case

By T.H. Johnson, Former Investigative Team Coordinator OMIG

Many of you are aware that the chairman of the Ocean Medical Investigative Group (OMIG) Dr. Henry S. Johnson raised the issue back in 1999 and 2000 about lawyers in the Simpson trial on both sides agreeing to enter an unholy alliance to misstate, misrepresent, misinterpret, and ultimately when caught misappropriate the exhibit 35 evidence in the Los Angeles County Criminal Court building’s Exhibit Department represented as the actual GTE phone record for June 12, 1994 of Juditha Brown, Nicole Brown Simpson’s mother.

OMIG

A funny thing happens whenever one of OMIG’s representatives is invited to speak publicly regarding information that challenges the false narrative that the public has been sold regarding guilt in the Simpson case and trial. People who actually work inside either the courthouse or other agencies with credibility always make contact with OMIG and invite them to see evidence of what actually occurred. We have now had people come forward from the Los Angeles County Superior Court Clerk’s Office, the California Highway Patrol, the California Department of Transportation, the Italian shoe sole manufacturer for the infamously alleged Bruno Magli shoes, SILGA GOMMA, as well as retired agents of the FBI. They come forth generally because concealing the truth just isn’t in their veins and it sends a chill down their spine to have to be a part of a cover up. However, as much as we would like for anyone to speak up immediately when they see malfeasance occurring people in these various agencies have families to support and careers that they do not want ended. So, we still gladly take what they are willing to give because the significance of what happened in this infamous major trial of the 20th century impacts us personally as African Americans, but as quiet as it’s kept, it effects each and all of us regardless of your racial or ethnic background.

The failure to exhibit integrity by anyone who holds an important position as a sworn officer of the court endangers everyone’s lives. Allowing an official with the power over others’ lives the benefit of the doubt when or if they intentionally lie, because they are a sworn court officer of the court undermines the faith in those institutions that reinforce the piillars of our society, the police, the courts, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and judges. If no one has any credibility then no one’s life is of value, including the herefore mentioned above. The issue involves whether OJ Simpson’s in-laws, the Brown family could make it home in time after departing a Brentwood eatery, the Mezzaluna Restaurant, at approximately 8:45 PM according to testimony. The Mezzaluna was 5 stop lights down and around two ninety-degree bends in the surface street at 12750 San Vicente Boulevard, and about 2 miles from the entry off of Wilshire Boulevard onto the southbound I-405 Freeway.

The question is could the Brown family make the drive home to their resiedence at the far south end of Orange County from Northwest Los Angeles County and arrive to their home in the secured gated community of Monarch Bay, Dana Point in order to make that final initial 09:37 PM phone call back to the Mezzaluna Restaurant regarding some lost glasses? Then two minutes later could they have made a call to alert their daughter at 09:39 PM? The best evidence that we now have at OMIG says no, and that is the 34,245 automobile estimate provided by traffic engineers from the California Department of Transportation, offended by lawyerly allegations that such a possibility occurred on that night between 8 PM and 9PM, the time of the Brown’s departure from Brentwood. They told OMIG investigators that they had seen one of Dr. Johnson’s exchanges with Simpson guilt commentators on one of the cable news networks, possibly as seen in this one below.

https://youtu.be/rWSyMQb-reg

Here’s what a reconstruction of that traffic volume that rivaled the highest peak hour during the normal work week looked like below on the night of June 12, 1994 between 8-9PM. The location of the Variety Building in the foreground is about one mile from the Wilshire entrance to the southbound I-405 freeway in which the white lights are traveling in the direction Simpson’s in-laws, the Browns would have been driving.

The Brown family lived approximately 72 miles away from the Brentwood location of the Mezzaluna restaurant, and approximately 69 miles away from the Variety Building shown in this photograph. To arrive home in an hour would require an uninterrupted speedometer rating of 72 MPH. In order to arrive there in Dana Point, Orange County in less than 52 minutes to make that 09:37 PM phone call based on an 08:45 departure would require a continuous door-to-door speed above 72 MPH. If you attempted to place 34,245 automobiles in total, bumper to bumper with average length 14-foot vehicles, across 5 lanes in the 8 mile distance between Sunset Blvd on the north, and La Tijera Blvd on the south, as provided by CALTrans documentation, the 8 mile distance or 42,240 feet would only accommodate 15,085 vehicles or 3,017 vehicles per lane bumper to bumper with 19,160 left over beyond the 8 mile entry point at Sunset.

Since we know that cars on freeways do not travel bumper to bumper it requires making the mathematical adjustment to get all 34,245 through the 8 mile zone in an hour. If you reduce the distance between cars to a half car length you will now have approximately 2,263 cars per 8 mile lane instead of 3,017. There will now be a mathematical reduction in vehicles from 15,085 to 11,315 across all five lanes. That will give you approximately 33,945 vehicles or 300 shy of the 34,245 that is estimated by CALTrans to have driven through that 8 mile zone in one hour. Hence, that would be an average of 11, 315 automobiles driving through that zone every 20 minutes. So, now it means that each car is traveling 8 miles every 20 minutes and assuming that the volume of vehicles remained the same for another 16 miles on the I-405 (San Diego Freeway) then you would have an average car speed of 24 miles in an hour or 24 MPH. One has to ask themselves, if on that Sunday night as a result of highway construction to build the HOV lane system impacting high density in conjunction with high traffic volumes could the Brown family have made the drive to arrive home at the time that lawyers stipulated to? The traffic volume on that night made the I-405 southbound freeway look like the vehicles lined up for as far as the eye can see in the photos above. You must then ask yourself would any vehicle including Simpson’s in-laws, the Brown family, have been able to travel that 72 mile distance at a mandatory speed of 72 MPH? That 72 MPH mandatory average speed would have been required of them to arrive at their home in one hour to make that first final fateful phone call? As it stands now where it required them to travel that 8 mile distance above at approximately 24 MPH the difference would have to have been added on top of 72 MPH. For at least 8 additional miles it meant that Simpson’s in-law’s vehicle would have to travel at a rate of speed of 120 MPH (72MPH + 48MPH =120MPH).

The only other alternative you must ask yourselves, is did the lawyers who entered what OMIG alleges as an unholy alliance tell a big fat LIE in order to promulgate a high profile celebrity trial and reap the pecuniary benefits for doing so?

Anyway this man Simpson has to remain silent for whatever personal reasons, and pretend to enjoy life now that he has been released after imprisonment for 9 years and on parole from an unjust 33 year sentence he received in Nevada as he witnessed these lawyers destroy his professional career and weak havoc within his own family.

    1. We don’t know the answer to your question but we certainly are appreciative of having impressed many people such as yourself so that we are comfortable that the question will never die. We encourage you to continue to put the question to officials, the press, and to all plublicly as to why they have continued to resist allowing the telecommunications company, GTE/then Verizon/and now Frontier, all subsequent corporate buyers, to replace those phone records. The traffic data provided by traffic engineers from the Cal. Dept. of Transportation, CALTrans, does not support the closed door stipulation that these attorneys entered as factual evidence of the last phone call indicating when Simpson’s ex-wife was last known to be alive. Their malfeasance regarding this issue simply bred suspicion that there was malfeasance in other areas as well which has proven to be true. Sworn officers of the court engaging in promoting the most dangerous, and socially destructive trial of the 20th century; the OJ Simpson trial is not a good look nor does it bode well for the justice system in our nation.

      1. Those phone records are definitely shady and you guys have proved so. So what you’re saying is they will never be released? I wonder why OJ’s kids haven’t fought to get them released, I know they all believe he’s innocent.

      2. Do you ever see connections to the Simpson case and the Church of Scientology (and Charles Manson?) I mean Marcia Clark was married to Gordon Clark a high ranking COS. Then you have OJ himself was once in this kook church and further you have people like CNN Gretta Van Susteren and her husband are also high ranking “egg plants” of the Church and OJ seems always to be kind to Gretta. You know Marsha’s first husband a back gammon player (I think he played OJ and his young bride Nicole in one of these swank Los Angeles backgammon clubs owned by Hugh Hefner in the late 1970’s) was shot in the head by Dr. Bruce Roman a Scientologist who performed the marital ceremony for Marcia and her kook husband Gordon. After shooting Clark’s ex husband Roman called Clark and she referred Roman to lawyer Robert Shapiro who beat the case in court.

      3. That whole scenario has always been fascinatingly wierd to us at OMIG, to have your former husband who was still actively stalking Marcia after their divorce because he wasn’t as great a pro backgammon player as he may have been at one time and now appeared to be financially pressed. When he was allegedly that good professional player she allegedly acted like a puppy following him out to casinos on a nightly basis and doing her law school home work in a “quiet corner” of the casino, if one can imagine the existence of that oxymoron. I’ve always thought it was quite convenient that a former soldier in the Israeli Army would not know the dangers of getting accidentally shot in the head by someone pointing a gun at them. That was the alleged story of his good friend and Backgammon protoge, Bruce Roman, the Church of Scientology minister who married Marcia Kleks (Horowitz) Clark to Gordon after the Church told him that they could not continue carousing with each other and he continue to maintain his $45,000 job. We knew all of this but did not know Roman carried the DR initials before his name. 1.) it would be nice to know What was he a Doctor of? 2.) How Gabriel Horowitz’s mother really felt when her son was shipped back to her in Israel as a vegetable?

      4. Here you go a synopsis of Bruce Roman’s career

Dr. Bruce Roman is an orthodontist with practices in West Los Angeles (Westwood) and Torrance, California. Originally from the East Coast, he moved to California in 1967 and currently resides in Manhattan Beach. Having attended Rutgers University, U.S.C. and California State University at Sandiego, he received his B.S., D.D.S., and post-doctoral certificate in Orthodontics from the University of California at San Francisco. Upon graduating magna cum laude he taught at the university level.
Bruce is a professional conselor in Dianetics and Scientology and has been a Minister of the Church of Scientology for eight years.

Gaby and Bruce’s articles have appeared in Las Vegas Backgammon, Gammon, Backgammon Guide, El Mundo del Backgammon, Today’s professionals, and Gambling Times magazines. Additionally, they co-author a weekly backgammon column in the Beverly Hills People and Valley People.
Gaby and Bruce were Finalists in the World Doubles Backgammon Championship in Las Vegas in December 1978.

      5. If you have time and interest you should purchase Maury Terry’s paperback book “Ultimate Evil” which covers the Son of Sam case and connects it to Charles Manson. I think the Bundy murders would be the work of these same networks. If you go back to the mid 60’s with the growth of the hippy movement pushed especially by Hollywood , you would find that Sharon Tate, Polanski, Dennis Hopper , Jay Sebring, and Abigail Folgers liked to hang out at a bar club on Sunset called “The Daisy”. Now if you fast forward 8 years after the Manson murders you find an 18 year old waitress named Nicole Brown working at “The Daisy” where she met OJ Simpson.

      6. Here is a synopsis of Gaby Horowitz career

Gaby Horowitz has been playing backgammon professionally for sixteen years. A native of Israel, he immigrated to the United States in 1960. Aside from being a world class player, he is considered to be one of the premier instructors of the game. His trademark is the heuristically evolved principles he uses to ensure a maximum conceptual grasp of both rudimentary and advanced aspects of the game.
In addition to private teaching in the United States, South America and Europe, he has conducted many group classes and seminars. For many years he was the teaching professional at the Cavendish West Bridge and Backgammon Club, one of the largest backgammon clubs in the world. Having taught at Pips International, he is currently the teaching professional at the exclusive Joe Scott’s Club Barrington in West Lost Angeles.
A member of the Los Angeles Backgammon Team, he is one of the most successful money backgammon players in the history of the game in the United States.
Gaby has won and placed in numerous tournaments including the Billy Eisenberg Cup and two years in a row the prestigious Pips International Tournament.
Gaby lives in Los Angeles with his wife Marcia, an attorney.

      7. The Life and Times of Gaby Horowitz
        California’s Controversial Backgammon Ace

        Les B. Levi, 1982
From Backgammon Times, Volume 2, Number 3, Summer 1982.
        Gaby Horowitz
He’s probably the most controversial figure in American backgammon, so strongly loved and hated he is by the thousands who have played him and watched him play. A self-confessed hustler who claims now to be “interested only in helping backgammon,” Gaby Horowitz, 34, talks freely about his past mistakes, emphasizing how he has changed.

As a Beverly Hills backgammon pro who has seen the most glamorous and opulent side of the game, Horowitz has for the last half-decade devoted his time to teaching, lecturing, writing, and recruiting new players for tournaments and clubs. He claims responsibility for teaching “the largest number of backgammon players on the planet,” but even if the numbers aren’t dazzling, the quality certainly is: among his students and proteges are several major tournament players from America and Europe.

The Israeli-born Horowitz learned backgammon from his father, a Polish-Jewish diamond dealer who emigrated to Palestine after the Second World War. Then, America’s future cube master played only running games, honing his skill by rolling dice against Arab street urchins. Those youthful games were important: Horowitz gained a keen understanding of backgammon position and strategy that became second nature.

At 13, Gaby emigrated from Israel to join an American uncle in Philadelphia, but by 16 he left alone for the West Coast, determined to get rich. And there was no better place for that than Beverly Hills.

“All I wanted then was money,” Gaby recalls, “and the things money could buy—big, beautiful cars, expensive clothes, and attractive women. My taste,” he adds, “was not terribly refined.”

Gaby started in $5-a-point games but soon wormed his way into the Beverly Hills big-money milieu by touting himself as the “best backgammon player in the world.” Not one to sit and watch, he even paid commissions to contacts who got him into high-stake games. “I paid generously, and I still pay generously today,” Gaby asserts.

“Most of the time I played backgammon in the homes of wealthy Beverly Hills families, and I entertained them,” he continues. “I was their loved and hated boy, and in a way they enjoyed losing to me. I was cute, I was Jewish, I could speak four languages, and I seemed educated.”

As for his education, Gaby had bought a high school diploma and conned his way into a university. “I could therefore claim I was a college boy, not a backgammon hustler,” he explains, “so people thought I was using backgammon to put myself through school—they figured losing to me was for a good cause.”

Part of Gaby’s appeal, as he describes it, was his street manner: “It was my juvenile rudeness, my bluntness, my teenage lack of sophistication. If I had been more sophisticated, they would not have wanted me around.”

By age 20, Horowitz was making more money than most college graduates. “I was a mercenary of the dollar,” he says today. “I only associated with people I could make a buck off. Nothing else mattered. I was always very direct—I believed, because of my skill at the game, I should take money from people. I spent hours studying positions—somebody had to pay for that.”

When backgammon got very big in the late ’60s and early ’70s, Gaby became rich. Earning over $200–$500 a day and investing the money wisely, he lived in a sleek Beverly Hills condo, acquired a fleet of high-priced cars—Cadillacs, Lincolns, Mercedes, Porsches, and even a Bently and a Maseratti—and began collecting antiques, expensive watches, Krugerrand, and guns.

Backgammon hustling was Gaby’s game and he talks about it today with surprising candor. The skilled hustler, according to Gaby, is both a fine technician and a master of deception, a consummate magician who creates the illusion that allows him to win—and money, not fame or celebrity, is the only thing worth winning.

“The great player is not the guy who always makes the right moves,” Gaby insists, “but the one who knows when to make a strong move in order to get the money and when to make a weak move in order to show the opponent that he has a chance at winning.

“Advertising,” Gaby continues, “is an art that very few players can practice well. It’s knowing when to elect a weaker move to create the impression that an opponent has an edge. Sometimes when I have a bad position, rather than struggle with it I will instead choose the weaker move and advertise for free. It’s better to lose the $200–$300 initially and then go for the big kill rather than win all of the time.”

But Gaby didn’t always understand the dynamics of big-money hustling, as he’s the first to admit: “There were many people I played against arrogantly and vindictively. I would say to them, ‘Bet against me and you’ll lose.’ Eager to prove otherwise, they lost anyway—I kept my promise.

“Today, ten years later, I say the same thing,” Gaby adds, “except I’m willing to allow people to bet with me by giving them lessons—then they’ll win.”

Ferreting out the wealthy was all part of Gaby’s strategy. He used credit services to check the financial status of players and actually had his wealthiest opponent’s followed at tournaments and clubs. “I did not want them to fall in the hands of other sharks,” says Gaby. “In a way I did them a service.

“As a pro, I actively sought customers, groomed them, and was there when they wanted to play,” he admits. “I eventually learned that you have to be sure they come back.”

Gaby has always felt strongly about playing only those who could afford to lose, but at the same time has never had qualms about playing weak players. “Even today I will not turn down a bad player as long as he has money,” he claims, “but I never have gone after someone who couldn’t afford to lose.

“I’ve never been stiffed my whole life,” he continues, “and I’ve never made a killing that I wasn’t paid for. It’s because I can tell how much cash a player has in his pocket by how he moves his pieces.”

Horowitz’s reputation as a relentless opponent has scared off many. “I’m probably the fastest player in the world,” Gaby boasts, “and I can endure the longest sessions. By the time I finish playing you, you’ll be tired, depressed, overwhelmed, frustrated, and empty-pocketed.”

Why do people choose to play the formidible pro?

“When a person comes to Vegas to gamble,” says Gaby, “he knows that the house has an edge, but he plays anyway, trying to beat the odds. The player who plays me or any other pro does the same thing: he plays me although he knows I’m better. Of course he may win, but I’ve got the edge.”

Like many who play backgammon for a living and travel in a world of pigeons, welchers, sharks, and chronic losers, Gaby has his detractors—some will never play with him again and several have even declared war on his reputation. As Gaby himself reasons, “The aim of a pro is to take money, and if you take money there are those who will despise you. After all those years of delivering losses to people, it’s not wonder.”

A well-known California backgammon author who laces his game strategy literature with crude sexual humor has smeared Horowitz’s reputation more than once in newsletters to subscribers. Gaby speaks of him with undisguised disdain: “The man may know something about the theory behind backgammon, but he has never really played, he has never really moved checkers around the board, and he cannot understand or appreciate what goes on in a money game between two players because he’s never played for money. I would challenge him to play any one of a dozen of my intermediate students—I will personally back them in a match for $10,000 or more, and I will ask that the match be recorded so the backgammon community may see once and for all how he plays.

“But I can understand his animosity toward me,” Gaby continues. “If I looked like him, dressed like him, and played backgammon like him, I too would be envious of Gaby Horowitz. I am famous because I can produce results as a teacher and player. He is a ‘kibitzer’ who might be a talented writer and mathematician, but not a player.”

Steeped in controversy as he is, Gaby nontheless has his admirers, something that becomes apparent when you listen to the crowds of people gathered to watch him play at tournaments and clubs. One of his most devoted fans is the actress Lucille Ball, a determined intermediate player who has taken lessons from him and came to roll dice for him at the Doubles event in this June’s World Amateur Tournament.

“Gaby is one of the finest gentlemen in the backgammon world,” Lucy insists. “There is no one else like him. He is not only a marvelous player, but he’s got taste.”

Horowitz, after all, has never been a stranger to celebrities like Lucille Ball. When backgammon got off the ground in the early ’70s and laid claim to Hollywood’s glitterati, Gaby was right there coaching and coddling the stars. He is reluctant to name the celebrities he played with, fearful that any association with his name today would be controversial—and unwanted. But as an instructor at the posh Beverly Hills club Pips, Horowitz handled many of Hollywood’s heavyweights—and sometimes mishandled them as well.

“There were many who played for fun and were then outsmarted,” he recalls. “They became bitter about backgammon. They could not take being taken, and I squeezed them for a lot of money. It is something I regret. Then I was only in the business of delivering losses. Today I’m also in the business of delivering wins—to my students.”

Gaby’s dramatic change happened in the mid-seventies. Teaching not only became an alternative to the money games he found increasingly difficult to get, but also a form of penance. “I found I could be both entertaining and instructive with students. It was also my way of making amends for the damage I had done earlier to backgammon.”

He also found he could command over $100–$200 an hour, considerably more when he taught group seminars. And his clients were among the elite.

“I’ve probably been in the dens and living rooms of some of the wealthiest people on this planet,” Gaby boasts. Along with a handful of players-teachers like Paul Magriel and Lee Genud, Gaby is flown all over the world by wealthy clients to teach, lecture, and play.

“I have a rich Venezuelan student who lost ten thousand dollars in Vegas against a good player,” Gaby recalls. “He was determined to go back and win, so he flew me to Caracas for lessons.” The Venezuelan eventually went back to beat the good player.

“Several of my students have gotten good quickly,” Gaby continues, “but I urge them to stay out of the limelight. They play in games where I would not be accepted and they give me a percentage. Even as I speak there are twelve people in Los Angeles making money for me.”

As L.A.’s backgammon Svengali, Horowitz claims he can create backgammon stars, or at the very least, competent players: “If you have the time and the motivation,” says Gaby, “I can make you a good player. I don’t believe the fallacy that backgammon ability requires a very special mathematical mind.”

In fact, Gaby has compared mathematics in backgammon to changing a flat tire. “Just as you cannot base your concept of driving on changing a flat,” Gaby explains, “you cannot acquire an understanding of positional flow in backgammon through mathematics—math has a tendency to create confusion for most players.”

So sure of his teaching ability, Gaby claims to be “the only backgammon teacher in the world who financially backs his students.” There are few vocational schools that can make that claim.

Gaby’s teaching tactics are designed to make the student money, he explains. Coaching backgammon beginners to master propositions—for instance, playing with an opening roll of 4-2 or 3-1—is meant to mislead the better player who is willing to spot a weaker opponent. Unethical? Well, who’s to say.

From the start, Gaby advises his students to decide on their goals as players: “I’ll ask if you want to be a tournament player, a money player in heads-on competition, or a chouette player,” he explains. “Then I’ll design lessons to fit your needs. It takes me a half hour to find out what a person needs to know and how that can be accomplished.

Gaby himself is primarily a heads-on player who enters few tournaments. But when he does, he’s sure to attract attention. “I’m a very impatient tournament player,” he says. “I play for the show, to provide entertainment for the crowds. I’m not at my best.

“When I do make it to the semifinals, though, I never lose,” he remarks. He claims to have won more consolations than anyone else, the most recent being the California Open.

More than anything else, Gaby believes the cube to be critical in backgammon, and in collaboration with Dr. Bruce Roman, a California dentist and player, Gaby has written Dynamic Cube Strategy, a book which examines and sets forth an aggressive approach to cube play.

Gaby approaches life outside backgammon with the same dogged intensity. As a strict vegetarian who does not smoke, drink, or take drugs, Gaby claims to have witnessed the self-destruction through drugs of several top-flight Californa players. He also has a strong interest in preventive medicine and is currently studying nutrition. A runner for the last several years, Gaby competes regularly in 10 kilometers races, which he can do in under 40 minutes. Add to that racquetball and sharpshooting.

Confident of his skills, Gaby has offered the following challenge to anyone foolish enough to try: he will compete in a two-event competition that must include a 25-point backgammon match and the choice of a ten-kilometer race or a target shoot with semiautomatics or handguns.

Despite all of his interests, Gaby still has time for an active social life. Divorced after a nine-year marriage to “an attractive Jewish attorney,” he now plays the field. His requirements are simple: “I will only date women who are beautiful, extremely intelligent, atheletic, and wealthy.”

What does Gaby see for backgammon’s future? “If the economy continues to decline,” he maintains, “backgamon will have a wonderful upsurge. Historically, gambling increases as the economy declines. And as the dollar gets weaker, backgammon will get stronger.”

And as backgammon gets stronger, veterans like Gaby Horowitz will thrive, as they’ve done before.

    1. It is not solely a matter for O.J.’s kids, in our opinion. We said 24 years ago that if the heated racial animus associated with this case is allowed to spew unfiltered into the mainstream of public discourse within 20 years that poison is going to be extremely detrimental to the lives of people of color. That was 1996, by 2016 and thereafter off the top of my head, we saw individuals hiding behind the color of authority murder Trayvon Martin, Eric Gardner, Michael Brown, Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, Walter Scott, Terrence Crutcher, LaQuan McDonald, Tamir Rice, Sandra Bland, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Jordan Edwards, Bothan Jean, Oscar Grant, Atatiana Jefferson, and the list goes on. Just blatant killing associated with the poisoning of the mind of sworn officers of the court that simply do not see peoeple of color as being those they are obligated to protect and to serve. In this nation, anything that impacts race is a delicate matter and should not be accepted cavalierly. Regardless of what OJ’s kid do or do not do, you are the most important factor here that must keep pressing them with the question: “WHERE ARE THOSE PHONE RECORDS OF JUDITHA BROWN NOTING THE LAST TIME SHE TALKED TO NICOLE BROWN SIMPSON?”

      1. I definitely agree about this being an issue that needs to be resolved for all of society. But I don’t think the general public cares about the phone records being released, because they believe OJ is guilty and they want him to be guilty. Nothing could ever change their minds. Even with all the police shootings of unarmed black people and police corruption cases that have been exposed these past few years, they refuse to make the connection with the OJ trial. This is why I brought up OJ’s kids, because if anyone wants to see OJ exonerated, it would be them. It’s ironic you brought up people of color because I noticed they tend to very vocal about OJ being guilty. Especially black people nowadays. It’s unfortunate because the black community back then believed OJ was framed when the trial was going on.

    2. So you guys know all about this Scientology connection, that’s great as most people just stare at me. I never thought Simpson guilty just because I was certain the murders were a crime of two people, not one and that the trial wasn’t racially motivated but was a desire to kill the clock on behalf of the real killers.
Here is a magazine on backgammon from the late 70’s. Both Bruce and Gabby are contributing experts. When you check the history of the game of backgammon you learn it goes back to ancient Egypt and was called “The game of death”

Was the gun used by Roman a .44 caliber like the caliber used in the Son of Sam killings. I have for some time placed the slasher killings of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown in the same category as the Manson killings of 1969, SOS killings 1976-1977 as well as the Cotton Club murders of 1983. You can see the players from these shocking crimes all over the Simpson media campaign to convict him by gossip. Even that goofball Dominick Dunne slipped that Paula Barberi (sp?) had dated Cotton Club suspect producer Robert Evans (Rosemary’s Baby) and that clown Van Attar that carried the vile of blood had been involved in the under age rape case of Sharon Tates husband Roman Polanski. This is the mileu that harbors the Goldman/Brown killers. Just another day in Hollywood.

  1. You only believe that people are not interested in something because that is what they are made to believe since the people who control communication in the West keep things moving and bombarding the mind of the masses with miscellaneous madness until they choose to bring you something about Simpson that they themselves consider important. Consider in 2016, twenty-two years after the murders took place A&E network allowed Ryan Murphy to present his brand of OJ madness that captured the national viewing audience attention for 7 weeks at number one in the cable ratings for 6 out of 7 weeks, and number two behind the state of the union address in the 7th week. So, we don’t fault blacks anymore than we fault others whose minds are bombarded by information, they are subject to human nature just as anyone else. However, blacks are easy targets and the most cost effective tool to target and weaponize in bringing a society to its knees because of its preoccupation with race. Nonetheless, the Simpson narrative has an unlimited nuclear half life potential again due to its subtle yet powerful racial undertones. Our monthly Amazon video royalties from around the globe for “SERPENTS RISING: An Independent Investigation of the OJ Simpson trial” show us that. So we control that aspect of the communication universe albeit much smaller than the mainstream vehicles in the US for which we have little or no control at all. However, less control of the medium for delivery does not represent the lack of interest in a subject matter, that’s merely one’s manipulated false perception. As soon as Simpson’s name is invoked ears perk up and the same folk who think they know and can tell you everything about the Simpson case, including who was in the Bronco slow speed chase, are the same people who cannot tell you the names of the two individuals convicted of multiple murders and committing the greatest act of domestic terrorism on the shores of the U.S. killing over 168 men, women and babies in the middle of the OJ Simpson trial and those two individuals were white.

    1. Juditha Browns phone records were never sealed they were removed along with all exhibit evidence from the Simpson exhibit department case file by secretive (ex parte) court order granted to one of the Simpson prosecutors, William Hodgeman, the initial lead attorney before he bowed out. That motion by him was filed on April 24, 1998 and within hours granted by Judge John H. Reid on the same day. As far as logged, you would have to explain. This investigative organization had Mr. Simpson file a motion to compel GTE to perpetuate evidence in Aug 1999, in Texas but the judge denied the motion and request to examine the records at the GTE legal archive building at the time, in San Angelo, TX. When the LA Times did a news article on the CRASH unit’s Raphael Perez turning states witness to avoid a 12-20 year sentence for stealing 8 LBs of cocaine out of the police evidence room and testified how the LAPD was used to planting evidence to attain convictions, we refiled a new motion on behalf of Simpson in the USDC for the Central District of California in L.A. However, that court told Simpson to go back to the state and have the criminal court put the records back into his file. We went to court again, on June 12, 2000, before LA County Superior Court Judge Larry Fidler, but he held most of the hearing behind closed doors and when the lawyer we (OMIG) hired to represent Simpson came out he was livid and said Judge Fidler had already ruled in chambers to deny Simpson. That’s when we told him to approach the dais and speak, and make judge Fidler make his pronouncement before the cameras. If you have not seen it you can by watching the full documentary here https://www.amazon.com/Serpents-Rising-Independent-Investigation-J/dp/B0046Z2M9M/ref=sr_1_1?s=instant-video&ie=UTF8&qid=1324355077&sr=1-1. However, now they’ve even got bigger problems than that or than we ever would have imagined. Stay tuned.

    2. The Phony Phone Records in the OJ Simpson Case

If you meant logged in meaning entered during trial then go to the WordPress article link above an OMIG investigator posted in 2017 and you can look at the phone records that were a part of the posterboard that was entered in the Simpson trial by attorney stipulation as exhibit 35. OMIG received this document after requesting that Lou Brown, OJ’s father in law allow them to access a true copy of their phone records for June 12, 1994 from the phone company GTE. It is what California law requires one to do when seeking the utility records of an individual by subpoena in California. Brown sent this to them after rejecting their request to allow them to attain a copy of the actual records from the unbiased 3rd party, the telephone company itself, GTE. Brown initially on the Thursday before did give OMIG permission to request a copy of the records removed from the Simpson case file from the phone company GTE but by Monday he nervously changed his mind and told OMIG investigator, T.H. Johnson, that he must accept what Brown would get from the man that took them from the Simpson exhibit case file, Deputy DA and former lead prosecutor in the Simpson criminal trial, Bill Hodgman. You can judge for yourself if the image looks like any phone records you have ever received from your phone company. They certainly do not resemble any that we have received as OMIG investigators from our phone company. The font sizes are irregular, and the call lines are not consistent, some are illegible where, in our opinion, you would not want to bet money that you can determine what the call line is stating.

On pages 4 and 5 you find that Gabby was a cheater and had a confederate in a man named Steve Goldman. On the next page we learn that OJ and Nicole played a game of backgammon against Gaby Horowitz and his then wife Marcia Clark. We also learn Bruce Roman was represented in 1989 by Dream Team member Robert Shapiro.

It was said that Marcia worked her way through college, using the

Marcia dump him in 1980 a year after graduating from law school, and
after Horowitz was banned from many Los Angeles backgammon clubs, for
cheating. She married Gordon Clark October 7, 1980–four months before
her California divorce from Horowitz became final on February 3, 1981.

Los Angeles DA’s Office spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said Marcia got a
divorce in Tijuana Mexico prior to marrying Clark, the Enquirer reported
in its August 2, 1994 edition.

Horowitz–her first husband–gambled with John Birch Society member John

celebrities and others “like Dean Martin, Hugh Hefner, Jim Brown–and
O.J. Simpson–would play at the top private Los Angeles Backgammon club.

Horowitz hustled in backgammon. He was Marcia Clark’s first husband,
and met with a tragic accident–a mistaken bullet to the head made him
an invalid–an accident remarkably resembling the cult religious ritual
    “Auditing technique R2-45.”

*”Horowitz’s shady career came to a violent end when he was shot in the
head by his best friend, and wound up in a coma.

*”Marcia’s second husband was a high-ranking member of the controversial

Clark was married to her second husband, Scientologist Gordon Clark by
    the Scientology Minister, Bruce Roman.

were examining a Colt .45 at Roman’s house and the gun went off while still

Kleinman authored 12 books on backgammon and knew Marcia Clark and
    Horowitz.

“‘The bullet entered Gaby’s forehead where it fragmented and several
fragments remain lodged in his brain. I learned this from Gaby’s mother,
who told me Roman had shot her son.’

“Horowitz was in a coma for a time after the shooting.

    back to Israel….”

OJ Simpson TV spin doctors and the cult:

blood-smearing woman, demanding Dennis Erlich’s disconnection from the
Internet, in Superior court–at the request of Scientology Attorney
Elliot Abelson–the ESPN Simpson legal analyst Don Wager, (the first
to declare that OJ would be convicted of two counts of murder); 4)
tracing a $100.00 donation check written to the Scientology-sued
support.com BBS received from the Scientology front “Concerned
Businessman’s Association of America”, led from a closed down Marina Del
Rey business address to an apartment in Glendale, California frequented
by a “Manuel Medrano.” I don’t know if this is the same KNBC-TV OJ
    Simpson legal commentator, “Manny Medrano”.

It was KNBC-TV that received the inside leaked story of evidence of blood
on a sock–that a KNBC-TV reporter broke, then invoked the California
reporters’s shield law to conceal the source of the high level leak.

    1. Excellent background information, your offering increases a high interest and suspicion that certain events kind of begin to bind together. These events were, heretofore, interestingly strange but isolated events with no nexxus that connected them to the Simpson case. Given all of the other irregularities associated with evidence in this case, and your now bringing these sordid revelations, it certainly is enough to make one now pause and say Hummmmh! Understand there is no bridge here yet, nevertheless it is highly interesting, i.e. the Horwitz-Roman-Clark connection, the Church of Scientology connections and the r2-45 Auditing Process connection that enters the discussion relative to Roman-Horwitz and the former madame Horwitz-now Clark. all we find most interesting. I will be nominating you for the independent OMIG investigative award of the month, JIMHARWOOD90GMAILCOM. Stay tuned.

      1. Thanks and I appreciate your work and website. All I am saying is there is zero connection between OJ Simpson and the double homicide on Bundy in 1994 and further more Los Angeles District Attorney Gil Garchetti (sp?) and his team knew at all times that OJ Simpson was not the killer. They knew in fact that there had to be two killers. The prosecution of OJ was used to “kill the clock” on the real killers. It wasn’t driven by race, evidence, suspicion etc. the entire case was driven by the need to “kill the clock” for the real killers. One of the funniest OJ interviews goes to ESPN Chris Meyers when he asked OJ in 1998 “why didn’t you take the stand”? Simpson explained to Chris that the prosecution was going for “mistrial” and that if he took the stand it would take another month and the chances of losing another juror was great resulting in a mistrial. If this happened Simpson said, Marcia and the prosecution would be able to hold OJ in an LA cell for up to two more years before deciding to retry OJ or not. Chris Meyer looked at OJ and asked again “But why didn’t you testify”. What a MORON !!! My point is the prosecution was covering for the killers and I believe the killers reside in this area of Hollywood and Scientology. How else explain all the help the nitwit prosecution team got from major media companies in selling the guilt of OJ to the public? Recall Charles Manson belonged to the Church and it was said while in prison he was so tortured by his Scientology “auditor” that he got himself thrown in solitary confinement just to get away. Bruce was probably the auditor for Gabby Horowitz and shot him.

      2. Another comment and I will probably lose you by going too far but here goes. Retired dip shit Gil Garcetti made an appearance on Rich Eisen’s podcast in Y2018 to help pump up OJ Simpson Made in America. Eisen actually asked him a decent question and that was “what happened to the murder weapon”? Garcetti responds “I don’t know and I don’t care because we had a blood trail from Bundy to Rockingham”. Of course he should know that because his detectives created the trail.
Now Garcetti is a guy Simpson holds some malice regarding his role in the false trial. Now later in the interview Garcetti says something that causes me to wake up and listen and what he told Eisen was this.

“Rich I spoke to former President Jimmy Carter at the end of the trial asking his advice if we get a not guilty verdict”. He

Now why in the hell would Gil Garcetti talk to Jimmy Carter about the OJ Simpson case. He wasn’t a civil rights figure and he hadn’t been President for 15 years. So what was Carter. Jimmy Carter 1977-1981 presided over the country at a time when more major Satanic cults came into public view then all other Presidents combined.
        1. John Wayne Gacy- He was big Illinois democratic party hack that had his pic taken with Mrs Carter
        2. Son of Sam cult
        3. Jim Jones- The reverend Jim Jones was the biggest vote getter for Carter -Mondale 1976. Carter and Mondale sang his praise.
        4. Atlanta Child Murders 1979-1981. Carter had a drug czar Dr. Peter Bourne. This man had worked at the Haight Ashbury Clinic in San Fran in 1967. He worked with Manson and his group.

I suggest Carter’s expertise in killer cults was the real reason Garcetti consulted with him prior to the Simpson verdict.
You should watch the video “Gil Garcetti on Rich Eisen show”.

By the way it seems all these top level backgammon games took place at a club called Cavendish. The Cavendish family are about as high a level of aristocrats that you can get. They are the Cecil family out of England who were said to be the power behind the British throne for nearly 5 centuries. They migrated to London via Venice. They were Venetian Doges. Joseph Kennedy Sr. married his daughter Kathleen into this family.

      4. Too bad OJ Simpson can’t file a civil suit against Clark, Garcetti et al. Here is the August 1994 issue of Chicago Point backgammon mag and on the far right column of the first page they call Gaby Horowitz the most notorious cheat in the history of backgammon and they subjected him to a lengthy banishment.
So if I understand, Marcia Clark labeled OJ a wife batterer that murdered his spouse but Clark was a battered woman and her husband suffered an almost fatal gunshot wound when he was shot in the head with a .45 caliber pistol.

  5. “Her boss Gil Garcetti should have pulled her from the trial in 1994.”
Her boss and the top man, Los Angeles County District Attorney, Gil Garcetti, said that he didn’t pick DDA Marcia Clark. Just makes one more suspicious as to who these people had to bow down to even when they are in the top position. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_-_YcY9Chs. If you, Garcetti, was the top man in the LADA’s office then who was it beyond you that would over rule you in placing someone you felt was not the best prosecutor for this high profile trial. Garcetti’s office demoted the top man over the high profile trial division, Peter Bozanich, who continuously advised Garcetti that Marcia Clark’s synopsis of the case based on the glove located on Simpson’s Rockingham estate was absurd. He saw as we did as well, that there was no blood leading to or away from the glove which was over 200 feet in on Simpson’s Rockingham property. With this blood trail Garcetti alleged from Bundy to Rockingham how does a person go 210 feet into Simpson’s property and leave no blood leading to the glove, and 200 feet back to the Rockingham gate and leave no blood. Each way was going in an East to West and West to East direction. The alleged drops found right inside the gate headed north toward the door entry far away from the glove going in a totally different direction, and if Simpson’s they could have come from the prior cutting experience he had while attempting to retrieve his cell phone inside the Bronco when he stated he nicked his finger. However, the anonymous LAPD insider talking to Stephen Singular told him that all blood in the Simpson case should be taken with a bit of suspicion because they were planting blood to connect Simpson to the case and would later validate his allegations upon being tested the blood found on the Rockingham Gate and the drops found on socks thrown on his bedroom floor would prove to be contaminated with EDTA. That was in conflict with the letter the FBI agent, Roger Martz, first sent to the LADA’s office in answer to Rock Harmon by claiming there was no contamination found, to line up with Harmon’s request that the FBI examine and refute that there was any blood contamination.

If you want to know the character of Los Angeles District Attorney’s just read this UPI article from March 23rd 1970 regarding the Manson case. According to UPI future LADA Ira Reiner is a “personal friend” of Charles Manson and of course in the Simpson trial they dusted off Reiner along with fellow Manson trial lawyer Vince Bugliosi as both guys consulted with their QUIJA boards and determined that OJ was guilty of murder.
      QUOTE UPI March 23 1970
      Monday, March 23rd, 1970
LOS ANGELES, Mar. 23 – As the Sharon Tate murder case moved slowly toward trial last week, the prosecution gained a new star witness and Charles Manson gained a new lawyer — who has never tried a case.

Manson, the leader of a nomadic band of young people accused of killing Miss Tate and six others, fired his court-appointed attorney and hired Ronald Hughes, a bearded man of 35 who passed the bar only last June.

The district attorney’s office, meanwhile, was moving to counteract Manson’s maneuvers to unhinge the case they have been constructing against him and four of his “family” members.

A fifth follower accused in the killings, Charles Watson, is still fighting extradition from Texas and probably will be tried separately. Manson and the four followers—Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian, Leslie Van Houten and Patricia Krenwinkel—are scheduled for trial on April 20.

As pieced together from several sources who wish to remain anonymous, here are the recent developments in the celebrated murder case.

The family members were indicted by a grand jury last fall mainly on testimony given by Miss Atkins, who also published a first-person article describing the grisly murders.

Shortly thereafter, Manson began exerting what is apparently a tremendous hold over his followers. His strategy was to gather all the family members under a common defense so none of them would testify against each other.

First, Miss Van Houten dismissed her court-appointed lawyer and selected Ira Reiner, a friend of Manson’s. Then Miss Krenwinkel suddenly stopped fighting extradition from Alabama and agreed to return to Los Angeles to face trial.

“It was incredible,” said a person close to the case. “Manson got Krenwinkel back with one phone call.”

Last month, Miss Atkins met with Manson. Within days she fired her attorney, Richard Caballero, and announced that she would repudiate her grand-jury testimony and refuse to take the stand at the trial.

Steve Garvey of the LA Dodgers and San Diego Padres had a wife Cindy Garvey who once said “The three biggest cocaine dealers in Hollywood during the 1980’s were Bruce Jenner, Steve Garvey and OJ Simpson”. In the early 2000’s the ex Mrs. Garvey would find herself dating an LAPD detective that she claimed used the LAPD’s data base to get compromising information on Hollywood stars including OJ Simpson. Although this LA Times article states differently at one time Officer Kelly Chrisman had knuckle head Chris Darden as his attorney in this legal action.
    Quote LA Times 11/6/2003

    NOV. 6, 2003 12 AM PT
    TIMES STAFF WRITER
Chief William J. Bratton has fired Los Angeles Police Officer Kelly Chrisman for using department computers to look up confidential law enforcement data on scores of celebrities.

“The message is clear,” Lt. Art Miller, an LAPD spokesman, said Wednesday after The Times learned of Bratton’s action last week. “If officers break the law, they’ll be dealt with severely.”

Chrisman said during misconduct hearings that he was assigned to map locations of celebrity homes to alert beat officers about stalkers and other problems. LAPD officials denied such a project existed.

Gary Casselman, Chrisman’s attorney, said the chief’s decision was politically motivated. “They didn’t want the embarrassment of admitting this project existed,” he said. “It does not appear the process was fair and balanced.”

According to the LAPD investigation, Chrisman called up files on Sharon Stone, Kobe Bryant, Courteney Cox Arquette, Sean Penn, O.J. Simpson, Meg Ryan, Drew Barrymore and others in the entertainment and sports fields.

An attorney who represented Chrisman during misconduct hearings, Gary Ingemunson, plans to file court action within three months, challenging the firing. “It will take that long to get all the documents from the Police Department,” he said.

Paperwork signed by Bratton on Oct. 27 to notify Chrisman of his immediate termination concluded disciplinary proceedings that began in early 2000. That was when detectives investigating a domestic violence report had learned from Chrisman’s former girlfriend that he was looking up celebrities on police computers.

Chrisman was never criminally charged with domestic violence, but the incident sparked a probe of his on- and off-duty activities. A three-member disciplinary board found him guilty Oct. 17 of misusing police computers and recommended dismissal.

LAPD investigators said they do not know what Chrisman did with the confidential information he accessed from 1994 to 2000. But a lawsuit against the LAPD filed by the former girlfriend, Cyndy Truhan, said he sold the information to gossip tabloids and used the computerized data to stalk her. The Los Angeles City Council settled the suit last March for nearly $400,000. Truhan, a former television talk show host, is the ex-wife of baseball player Steve Garvey.

LAPD computers are linked to state and federal databases that store criminal histories, addresses, birth dates, Social Security numbers, physical descriptions, driving histories, vehicle ownership, restraining orders, unlisted phone numbers and other information not readily available to the public. Laws prohibit calling up the files except for authorized law enforcement purposes.

The FBI, the U.S. attorney’s office and the Los Angeles County district attorney are conducting lengthy probes to determine whether Chrisman or others can be criminally prosecuted, law enforcement officials said.
